In the film opening of My Mother and I, personally I would score them 36 points (level 3) because:

  • The script used was very basic and short
  • However the length of the opening was appropriate as it was just passed 2 minutes, therefore not too long or short
  • The edits used were good as they shot from different angles
  • Possibly too much enigma was included as it was difficult to tel what the film genre was and target audience.
  • I thought they revealed the title of the film was quite unique and made the whole opening more interesting

In the film opening of The Edge, personally I would score them 56 points (level 5) because:

  • Editing is great, a variety of different shots
  • However no script
  • Possibly too much enigma, I was not really aware what was happening
  • Too long
  • Great location
  • Use title appropriately
  • Good way to show production team

In the film opening of Roses are Red, personally I would score them 40 points (level 3) because:

  • Uses clever and unique way to show cast
  • Not much actually happened and was quite cliché
  • Some of the camera work was quite shaky, and editing is basic
  • It seems quite easy
  • The material seems appropriate for the target audience and task

In the film opening of Blitz, I would score them 58 points (level 4) because:

  • Immediately the audience know what time period it is set by the Winston Churchill's speech (WW11)
  • Mise en scene is excellent as it includes a variety of different appropriate props in the background
  • Camera work is steady and includes a variety of different shots, enticing the viewers
  • It includes enigma however not too much it would be confusing
  • They have paid attention to detail, for example the bomb sound effect sounds realistic
