Genre Picture Tasks

In this lesson, we analysed the pictures we had taken and described how they are suited to a particular genre.

This image of a teenage boy playing the piano, this verifies the genre is musical.  With the picture being displayed in the day time the audience can tell the film is most likely not going to be frightening.  In addition, you can tell by the boy's clothes that the film is set in modern day and the location is at school, this shows that the film could be suitable for children.     

This eerie image displays a dark figure at the end of the hall, you can tell it is a horror film genre because of the lack of bright colours.  It also makes it more sinister as in contrast to the other pictures the figure at the end is mysterious.

From this picture of the teenage boy, it is clear the genre is comedy, as he is holding the books upside down which is seen as comedic.  With his modern clothes and up to date text book the audience can tell the film will be set in the present time in a school.
